My books (published in English) at a glance

I always loved to write for all ages. The best story is for me the one that children steal from their parents’ desk or grandparents from their grandchildren’s. Sometimes though a story wants to be told just for a certain age. For example for the ones who can’t read themselves yet and therefore want BIG pictures. For them I did stories about pirates and pigsty princesses, about nameless Knights and monsters who catch themselves a human child. I love doing picture books from time to time. A short story is so hard to tell and I love to collaborate with a brilliant illustrator and see art making my stories come alive.

The Ghosthunters series was created for children who don’t really like books and definitely don’t want them to be as fat as  the Inkbooks. Luckily the book-eaters (like myself) love them as well.

Then there are my (so called) realistic books, like the Wild Chicks-series which will soon be published in English and ‘Saving Mississippi” which just got a brilliant new cover in the UK.

There are books like The Pirate Pig and Emma and the Blue Genie which I wrote for Kerstin Meyer, the wonderful illustrator. They are amongst my absolute favourites.

I could go on and on like this but I hope you’ll discover yourselves in how many worlds I have been. I am sure you’ll pick your own favourites. And let me know if you find the right world for you is still missing!

On the following page you will find a survey of all my books, that have been translated into English so far.
